President's Report
I’m honored to introduce myself as your new Delaware SHRM Board President. Many of you may already know me through my involvement with the chapter over the past several years, most recently serving as Program Director. It has been such a privilege to be part of this board and this community, and I’m excited to step into this new role.
I’d also like to share that Michelle Ray, our former Board President, has transitioned into the role of State Council Director for the SHRM Delaware State Council. We’re incredibly grateful for Michelle’s leadership and service to Delaware SHRM, and I know she will continue to make a meaningful impact in this new capacity.
When the opportunity arose to serve as Board President, I was truly honored to be asked. I’m looking forward to leading our board and supporting our chapter as we continue to create valuable opportunities for professional growth, meaningful connection, and strong HR leadership across our community.
Along with my new role, we have several new board members and new position appointees:
Brittany Wilson, Program Director
Iris Landry, SHRM - CP, Foundation Director
Amira A. Martin, CPFA, AIF®, Membership Director
We have so much to look forward to. This month, we’re proud to highlight the Delaware SHRM Student Scholarship opportunity, which supports students pursuing careers in human resources and related fields. Encouraging and investing in emerging HR talent is one of the most meaningful ways we can strengthen our profession, and we’re grateful to play a small role in helping support the next generation of HR leaders.
We’re also looking forward to several upcoming programs designed to provide timely, practical value for our members and broader HR community. From navigating workplace accommodations to exploring how AI can be used more effectively in HR, these sessions are intended to help you stay informed, build confidence, and walk away with insights you can use right away in your work.
Just as importantly, they offer the chance to stay connected with peers who understand the challenges and opportunities that come with this profession. In a field that asks so much of us, those opportunities to learn from one another and support one another matter.
Thank you for being part of the Delaware SHRM community. Whether you attend events regularly, volunteer your time, mentor others, or simply stay engaged in the work of growing as an HR professional, your presence helps make this chapter what it is.
Wishing you a season of fresh energy, continued growth, and a little bit of breathing room along the way.
Best,
Natalie
