The Delaware Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management is the premier human resources association for The First State. Since 1974, we have provided members with professional development, relevant HR information, legislative updates, and networking opportunities that stimulate professional growth and enhance workplace contributions. Over 300 HR professionals, representing large and small companies in all industries, as well as individuals providing products and services to the human resources community, belong to Delaware SHRM.

Delaware SHRM has a focused mission: Growing People and Growing Organizations. We welcome the challenge and responsibility of this mission and invite you to take advantage of our chapter resources, members, and affiliations by joining our membership and participating in our initiatives. By attending monthly meetings and our DE State Conference in the fall, and developing relationships with colleagues, you will continually enhance your knowledge of HR issues, gain new skills and grow as an HR professional.
Delaware SHRM is proud to be affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management, chapter number 206. SHRM has more than 200,000 members worldwide and is the preeminent voice of the human resource community. Membership in Delaware SHRM is separate and apart from membership in the national SHRM organization or other chapters of SHRM located elsewhere in the U.S. Human Resource professionals may choose to belong to both the local and national organizations to fully utilize the benefits unique to each.
Delaware SHRM OBJECTIVES
Provide a wide range of educational sessions, programs and other activities that allow members to develop and enhance their expertise in the various functional areas that constitute human resource management.
Provide a forum for members to network and share information that will help them address human resource issues in their respective organizations.
Undertake programs and activities that serve to increase awareness and understanding of the human resource management profession by the business community, government agencies, and the general public.
Be a strong voice for the human resource community and Delaware businesses on issues critical to the advancement and development of people centered organizations.
